Vivienne Main

Head Coach - WA/TU

Vivienne started her gymnastics career whilst at junior school. It was during her PE lessons that a teacher identified her potential and suggested she join a gymnastics club. This is where her love affair with the sport began.

Although Viv started gymnastics relatively late at the age of 9, she was determined not to let this get in her way, she was a very determined little girl thriving in the gymnastic environment and her hard work and perseverance paid off. Vivienne, specialising in Women’s Artistic gymnastics, took part in many competitions and represented her club in both Holland and Germany, she was also selected to compete in the Borough Youth Games on many occasions.

Having retired from gymnastics she has worked for 12 years within the PE department at a local Secondary school, gaining numerous coaching qualifications in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. Vivienne has recently added Tumbling Level 2 as well as a Level 2 Disability Add-On Module and Foundation Cheerleading stunts and skills, which will assist with her gymnastics display work within local schools .

Vivienne is at her happiest in the gymnasium during her sessions with our squads, and is constantly looking at ways to enhance the gymnasts training, be that be  purchasing new equipment or bringing in choreographers/ ballet teachers , or researching new training drills to achieve those new skills our gymnasts are striving to achieve
